O’Reilly Hospitality Management Announces New Development in North Springfield

[SPRINGFIELD, Mo – January 25, 2019] O’Reilly Hospitality Management, LLC, a leading hospitality management group, officially announces plans to bring BigShots Golf to north Springfield.

BigShots, expected to employ 30 to 40 full and part-time people, is planned to be developed in north Springfield on 11 acres at the intersection of Kearney Street and Glenstone Avenue where the former Kmart operated.

When completed, BigShots will have 54 driving range bays on two stories with an outdoor putting green, an activity center for kids, a golf academy that can be used for year-round training and a full restaurant and bar that will offer American fare, healthy food options, and special menu items such as sushi.

“What truly differentiates BigShots from its competitors is how it’s powered by BigShots Golf technology,” O’Reilly said. “There is Doppler radar tracking the ball as you drive it. There’s a screen placed next to bays also to give you stats, as well as allow you to select specific games.”

This cutting-edge golf and entertainment establishment is created for all ages and skill levels. Avid golfers can play full rounds on virtual golf courses which will improve their game. Non-golfing players, families, and children will enjoy games such as Knockout and Pinball, as well as other fun, interactive games. Reflecting a broader consumer, BigShots Golf meets the demand for more recreational and entertainment experiences in Springfield. Construction for BigShots is planned to begin in the first quarter and is expected to be a 10-month project timeline.
